Echeveria 'Perle Von Nurnberg' Care

Echeveria 'Perle Von Nurnberg' must be getting plenty of full sunlight so it can grow healthy, avoid etiolation, and so it can produce its beautiful bright colors. The perfect amount of sunlight would be at least 6 hours every single day. Make sure to also give it some partial shade so it can take a break from the sun to avoid sun damage.

Echeveria 'Perle Von Nurnberg' isn't cold hardy, growing in frost and freezing temperatures will harm or most likely kill this succulent. If the weather in your location gets under 30 degrees, then you must move and grow this succulent indoors to avoid harm and death.

Echeveria 'Perle Von Nurnberg' must be grown using fast/well draining succulent soil so the soil doesn't stay soaked full of water. Fast/well draining succulent soil drains excess water, preventing overwatering and later on root rot. It's also good to use a succulent pot with a drainage hole. This will also allow proper drainage and will drain the excess water at the bottom of the hole, helping prevent overwatering and root rot.

Water the Echeveria 'Perle Von Nurnberg' 1-2 days a week or when the soil looks or feels very dry. This is the perfect amount of watering for preventing under watering, overwatering, and of course root rot. Be sure to lookout for under watering and overwatering signs and symptoms. Make sure to keep track of the exact last time you watered the Echeveria 'Perle Von Nurnberg'.

Avoid getting water on its leaves, so fungus won't grow. If fungus grows on the leaves then there's a chance that the leaves will end up falling off the succulent and lay in the soil. This will attract succulent pests such as mealybugs, so make sure you avoid this.

Echeveria 'Perle Von Nurnberg' Propagation

When it comes to propagating the Echeveria 'Perle Von Nurnberg' you can propagate it from leaves or cuttings. Carefully take some clippers and cut off some leaves and cuttings. Before planting you must make sure those leaves or cuttings form a callus. Let the leaves or cuttings sit out for 3-4 days or until a callus forms. After a callus forms go ahead and plant the leaves or cuttings in fast/well draining succulent soil. Water 2-3 days a week, and grow in full shade for the first week and then move to full sun.
