Corsican Stonecrop (Sedum dasyphyllum)

The Corsican Stonecrop is a petite, hardy succulent that charms with its delicate beauty and adaptability. Featuring tiny, rounded leaves in soft shades of blue-green, often tinged with pink or purple in bright sunlight, this low-growing sedum forms dense, mat-like clusters. Its compact growth and drought tolerance make it a favorite for rock gardens, fairy gardens, and ground cover.

Key Features:

  • Charming Foliage: Tiny, fleshy leaves with subtle color changes depending on light exposure.
  • Ground Cover: Spreads into a lush, carpet-like mat, perfect for filling gaps in pots or gardens.
  • Drought Tolerant: Requires minimal watering and thrives in well-draining soil.
  • Low Maintenance: Ideal for beginners and seasoned succulent enthusiasts alike.

The Corsican Stonecrop is both beautiful and practical, offering year-round charm with its delicate texture and ever-changing hues. It's an excellent choice for adding softness and character to any succulent arrangement or outdoor landscape.

Succulent Care Guide from Ramsey Succulents

1. Light:

Succulents thrive in bright, indirect light. Aim for 6 hours of sunlight daily. If growing indoors, a south-facing window works best. Rotate regularly to ensure even growth.

2. Water:

Water sparingly—typically every 2-4 weeks. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering is the most common cause of issues, so when in doubt, water less!

3. Soil:

Plant succulents in well-draining soil. If repotting, use cactus or succulent mix to prevent root rot.

4. Temperature:

Succulents prefer 60-80°F (15-27°C). Avoid extreme cold, as most are sensitive to frost. Do not grow outdoors if weather gets below 35 degrees.

5. Pot:

Make sure the pot has drainage holes. Good drainage is essential to avoid water accumulation.

Amazing her usual

This is my second order with Ramsey succulents and it probably won’t be my last. The quality of the plants are amazing. They arrived healthy, and full. They are the prices are great and bear any other sellers I’ve seen. My state has some brutal winters and I expressed some concerns over the shipping. They emailed me back and assured me I my order would be properly packed and would arrive well. I opened the package to see my succulents alive and beautifully wrapped. I will place more orders for sure.

Great For a Succulent Killer

I planted my 2 inch Corsican in a terracotta planter and only water 1 every week or two by soaking the pot in water for several hours. Not only is this plant surviving its growing out and up! Low maintenance, but may require a bigger footstep than other succulents bc you want it growing out. I was surprised that after 6 months my slow growing succulent was putting on growth both in and up.
Beautiful unique plant & I am looking to incorporate it in my bioactive vivariums builds.
