Echeveria 'Blue Sky' Care

The echeveria blue sky succulent is very easy to grow and care for. Like most echeveria, this succulent loves full sun and it will need at least 6 hours of sunlight every single day. It can be grown indoors or outdoors, but make sure you move this succulent indoors during the winter. This succulent won't survive in freezing temperatures, so make sure it avoids frost.

It's very important to grow this succulent using fast/well draining succulent soil. Fast/well draining succulent soil is important because it will drain all of the excess water that the succulent doesn't need. Too much water will cause mold and bacteria to grow and appear, later attacking the succulent giving it root rot. It's also very important that you grow this succulent in a succulent pot with a drainage hole. Succulent pots with a drainage hole will also get all the excess water out by sending it out the bottom hole of the pot. Fast/well draining succulent soil and a pot with a drainage hole will help you grow a healthy and happy echeveria blue sky succulent.

When watering the echeveria 'blue sky' you should only water it about 1-2 days a week. However, if you start to see dry/wrinkled leaves then look at and feel the soil. If the soil looks very dry then make sure to give your blue sky some water. Avoid overwatering and underwatering, make sure to keep track of the exact last time you watered your echeveria blue sky. Be sure to avoid getting water on the leaves of this succulent. If you do then fungus will grow on the leaves, the leaves will die and fall off. Eventually succulent pests such as mealybugs will then appear to eat the dead leaves.

Echeveria 'Blue Sky' Propagation

The echeveria blue sky succulent can be propagated by leaves, cutting stems, and of course seeds. Be sure to make sure your cutting sit for 1-3 days so they can form a callus. After they form a callus then plant the cutting in fast/well draining succulent soil and water it every 3 days. Grow it in full sun/partial shade and you will then start to see roots producing.
