Echeveria Harmsii 'Ruby Slippers' isn't cold hardy, so frost and freezing temperatures will harm and kill this succulent. It's very important that you just move and grow it indoors during the cold winter season. If the weather in your location gets under 30 degrees then it will need to be grown indoors to avoid the frost and freezing temperatures.

Fast/well draining succulent soil is much needed when growing the Echeveria Harmsii 'Ruby Slippers'. Fast/well draining succulent soil will help prevent overwatering which then leads to root rot, a very deadly disease for succulents. It's also good to use a succulent pot with a drainage hole, this will allow the excess water to drain out the bottom of the pot. This will also help prevent overwatering which then leads to root rot.

When watering the Echeveria Harmsii 'Ruby Slippers' it's good to water it 1-2 days a week or when the soil looks or feels very dry. Avoid overwatering and under watering, and make sure to keep track of the exact last time you watered this succulent. Like most succulents, this succulent is drought tolerant so it doesn't need much water!

Be sure to not get water on the leaves of this succulent. Water on the leaves may cause a fungus to grow and appear, this will make the leaves fall off into the soil. If this happens then it will attract succulents pests such as mealybugs.
